Recipe of the Week
Gingerbread chocolate chip muffins
While they may not look like anything special at first glance, these muffins contain several ingredients that set them apart. For one, the recipe calls for almond flour, so they're 100% gluten-free. They're also sweetened with honey instead of granulated sugar. Honey may have some heart health benefits, but it is important to keep in mind that it still counts as added sugar.
The recipe also contains walnuts, which, when eaten regularly, may promote cardiovascular health. Walnuts can be a controversial choice when it comes to baked goods — if you'd rather not use them, you can substitute almonds or just leave them out completely. I won't judge.

OXO Good Grips Classic Ice Cream Scoop
When baking muffins, it can be hard to portion them evenly. When I use a regular spoon or a measuring cup, I spill batter all over the tin, which then burns in the oven. Plus, knowing each muffin isn't the same exact size drives me up the wall! That's why I love this stainless steel ice cream scoop. The trigger allows you to push everything out of the spoon when you're ready. No more pesky spills!
