If You Aren't Ready to Start, You Aren't Ready
From my past experience, I know if you aren't ready to start today, you aren't ready to start. I'm speaking to myself as much as anybody else. If I'll start tomorrow, or Monday, or the first of the month, the first of the year, after the holiday, or after the big get together . . . then I'm not ready to commit yet. When I was in the midst of successful weight loss/management and people would say, "I'm going to start tomorrow." I'd think, "No, you need to start today!" Now that doesn't mean that I change everything today; that would be a terrible shock to my system both physically and emotionally, and I would not be successful. But I can change something today. Small, consistent changes make the difference. Change one thing. Start doing one thing for your health today that you aren't already doing. Something big enough that you notice it, but not so big that you can't stick with it. This is the first step. Do you agree?
