Recipe of the week
Pork chops with green beans, basil butter, and a roll
The pork chop is probably one of the most popular cuts of red meat. You might see variations called different names: loin, rib, sirloin, top loin, or blade chops. While all types are a good source of iron, zinc, protein, and potassium, the fat content varies depending on the specific part of the pig the chop came from. For example, a sirloin pork chop is one of the leaner cuts, and tenderloin is the leanest. Other cuts — New York, porterhouse, and rib-eye — have more total fat than a sirloin, but there's really only a small amount of additional saturated fat. It's totally up to your preference!
We can't let you start cooking without talking about the basil butter. Once the butter melts in a pan, you'll add the basil — any other herb you have available would also work — to let the flavors combine for about a minute. Once the pork and greens are done, drizzle this sauce over everything. We wouldn't blame you for making extra to use later.
Ok, now you can get the ingredients and directions below!

OXO Good Grips Stainless Steel Fish Spatula
OXO Good Grips Stainless Steel Fish Spatula
I'm terrible at remembering names, but for some reason I can recall the random time my friend told me that her favorite kitchen utensil was a fish spatula. She explained that she loved how the wide surface helped her lift up fish, meats, and vegetables much better than a normal spatula. And she wasn't wrong! I use mine almost every time I cook, which is probably why I'll never forget this story.
