Welcome to the November edition of the Mixlr Broadcaster update, bringing you all of all the latest product updates and news from our home in Hackney, London.

New feature: Chat in the app

We've made a host of improvements to the broadcast app this month, including the most requested feature from our broadcasters: Chat and crowd. This means no more opening your browser to chat and see who's listening to your live shows - it's all available right inside the app.

More app improvements: sharing and control panel

We've also made some improvements to the experience when you go live from the app.

Firstly, we've made it easier to remember to set or update your broadcast title and category after you've gone live. Doing this makes it easier for listeners to find your show, and generates better sharing content on social media, which makes it easier to get new listeners.

We've also added easy, one-click sharing to Facebook and Twitter after you start broadcasting. We've worked hard to make it easy to use and switch sharing on and off, so you'll know exactly when and where your live broadcast will be shared.

Improving chat, hearting and the social experience on Mixlr

We've had lots of feedback from our users about ways we can improve our chat system and social experience on Mixlr. Last week we started to roll out the first in a series of improvements to the website livepage, which we hope will have a positive impact which included: reversing chat, adding hearts to chat and restyling the chat box. Here's a few of the incremental improvements we've made to the service this month.

Mixlr for Android is now available in the Amazon Appstore. This means your audience can tune in to your live broadcasts through their Kindle Fire and tablet devices too.
We've fixed an issue which made it impossible to find old showreel recordings inside the app. Download our latest update if you've run into this problem.
