High blood pressure forces your heart to work harder than it should. The longer this goes on, the more damage this high pressure does to your heart. That's why it's important to get your blood pressure checked at least once a year. For most people, the higher number, called the systolic blood pressure, should be below 140. The lower number, called the diastolic pressure, should be below 90. How well do you know the heart healthy numbers?
