FDA Finalizes Decision to Ban Trans Fat

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has finalized its determination that partially hydrogenated oils (PHOs), the primary dietary source of artificial trans fat in processed foods, are not "generally recognized as safe" (GRAS) for use in food. Boise Co-op Temporarily Closes Deli After Salmonella Contamination Found

The Boise (Idaho) Co-0p has voluntarily closed its deli due to the recent Salmonella outbreak.
