Two Steps Forward, One Step Back

It's still progress! I started back hard on the healthy track in early February. Tracking my food, eliminating soda and alcohol, running 15 minutes a day every day. I threw myself into hardcore home care too; meal planning, dishes every day, laundry every day.

The last two days I haven't been at 100%. Friday night I went out for dinner with a friend and had a large beer and heavy curry. Saturday I didn't run, had a family event where I still didn't drink and exercised portion control at dinner, but had way too much dessert (a cupcake, a small s'more brownie, a few small pieces of fudge). I didn't meet my water goal Friday or Saturday either. I am a little disappointed with myself, but I will not let it totally derail me.

I stayed in bed far too long today instead of getting up and running, and now the weather is atrocious. Heavy gusting winds and lots of rain. It's not too late for me though. This is a great opportunity to try out the Wii fit I was given. The laundry and dishes are not so backed up that I can't knock them out today. I can get back on track, and if you're struggling, so can you. I am still better off than I was, and I can get better still.

If you've fallen off track, what's one thing you can do to get back on the right path today?
