Here are some other tips to work into your diet to banish bloating: - Increase non-starchy vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy fats.
- For snacks, choose fruit, non-starchy vegetables, or whole grain paired with a protein.
- Find diabetes-friendly recipes and prep meals and snacks ahead.
- Try to keep starchy foods (for example, pasta, potatoes, and rice) to one-quarter of your plate.
- Limit sweets and check labels for added sugars and sugar alcohols.
- Try monk fruit sweetener (look out for more on this one in a coming Edition).
- Avoid fast food, and cook and eat fewer processed and ultra-processed foods.
