The Dangers of Saturated Fats
High intake of saturated fats can raise bad LDL cholesterol and increase the risk of heart disease. To make sure you're maintaining a healthy diet, the American Heart Association recommends limiting your intake to approximately 14 grams of saturated fat a day - but for many people this is easier said than done. For example, after just two tablespoons of butter you will reach that limit (14g), whereas two tablespoons of buttery spreads has only 4g of saturated fats.
