A British study looked at 324 twins over a ten year period and found that twins with strong legs had healthier brains with fewer age-related brain changes when compared to their sibling with weaker legs. Strength training, of course, is the best way to get stronger legs, but speed walking can do a surprisingly good job of improving leg force and power.
