Stricter penalties now in place for food hygiene offenses in Singapore

Effectively immediately, establishments involved in food poisoning incidents in Singapore face stronger penalties, according to the National Environment Agency (NEA) and the Agri Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA). Financial amounts will be increased and more food-operator offenders, especially those who commit serious hygiene offenses, will be prosecuted in court under the relevant legislation. These...
