A toast — to you!

Bread is always a good idea to me.

Recipe of the Week
Toast with strawberries, yogurt, and almond butter
This will never be a newsletter where I say that bread is bad for you. Sure, if you are gluten-free or don't eat gluten or if you live with diabetes, you may need to be mindful of the type and quantity of bread you choose. But in the majority of cases, bread can absolutely be included in a healthy diet!
I'm not going to waste your time mansplaining how to make toast. That would just be silly. Instead, I'm going to share some of the toppings and spreads I use when I need a quick, light bite:
  • eggs, cottage cheese, and pickled red onion
  • strawberry jelly and plain cream cheese
  • tomato, garlic confit, and sardines
  • granola butter, sliced bananas, and honey
  • everything bagel seasoning and chive and onion cream cheese
  • cottage cheese and tomato
Today's recipe combines some of my favorite flavors and tastes like a refreshing dessert. Try it — or any of the combinations I shared — the next time you need something easy to nosh on.

OXO Good Grips Squeeze Bottle Set
Why would someone need these bottles for oils when they could just pour directly from a bottle? Good point! By no means are these must-haves for your kitchen. However, I *will* say that I find these to be much more convenient to grab and use in my everyday cooking — and I've had this set for a solid 2 years now.
