Listen to Your Conscience
I woke this morning about 4:30 a.m. to go for my long run, and I was so glad it was raining - so I had an excuse not to go. When I woke again around 6:30 a.m., my conscience began to nag me. So after walking my dog, I headed out. It was overcast and drizzling off and on. I almost turned back, but decided to JUST DO IT, even if it is just walking instead of run/walk. The weather eventually held and the sun came out but I kept saying JUST DO IT. Circumstances continued to challenge me - a friend was passing and she stopped to chat (30 minutes). I was tempted to turn back but I didn't want my conscience to get on me so I continued. Completed my goal. I listened to my conscience and I feel much better. Now my goal is to listen to my conscience when eating. Do you listen to your conscience? Does it help you reach your goals?
